My first experience with Xerascaping

A picture of our un-cut 'Grasses'

These crazy masses of grass clippings took me close to three hours to cut down and rake into the nearby orchard.  I had no idea what I was getting into, but once I had started there was no going back, imagine what a wind gust could have done to those piles!

Luckily for me, the grasses only need to be cut down once a year.  The beauty of Xerascaping is that the plants are well suited for our 'desert like' summer environment here in the Okanagan and need very little maintenance...other than what you see above ;)
